Marea by Zanellato/Bortotto for De Castelli

On the mutable skin of the metal with which the rigorous forms of these storage units are composed, traces of time are drawn one on the other. As the tide leaves its mark, wave after wave, even here the hand of the craftsman has left his trace, oxidation after oxidation, until a pictorial effect is obtained that resembles the erosion of water on the material. Halfway between a design object and a work of art, each piece of the collection, consisting of a chest of drawers, a cupboard and a cabinet, is unique thanks to a finish obtained entirely by hand that seems to transform the metal surface into a delicate watercolor.
