Sweater Chair by Gijs Kuijpers

The thoughts behind the design are: 'a chair that sits & fits like your favorite sweater'. Many people have a sweater in their wardrobe that often does not look very nice (anymore) but is still great for in the evening on the couch when you don't have to do anything or go anywhere. Gijs Kuijpers wanted to put that feeling of that sweater in a chair. At the beginning of the design process, it was only a chair that was going to be comfortable, but on the way, the chair became a sweater itself. The chair with its thick insulating jacket gives a feeling of warmth, comfort and a secure feeling.
