Cerne by Samuel Reis
Updated: Jan 2
Cerne is the tree trunk's core. While It does not participate in tree's irrigation, the cerne is useful to the mechanical support. In some tree species it is usual the degradation or even the total destruction of the core.
Having this into consideration, the tree's trunk is used as a mold for glassblowing. Thus the resultant glass form stays in charge of Nature leaving its organic and irregular prints in the glass which could be also used as a vase.
