Revital markovich is an industrial design student in the institute of technology in Holon (H.I.T) Israel.
During her last semester, the students were asked to design a clock. She chose to design Ruby, a clock for people who work shifts, and designed her clock based on the understanding that they work for many hours and days of the week. Her idea was to design a clock that emphasis, through its aesthetic, the hours each worker is at work and the hours he’s at home. The coloured areas symbolise the hours in which he’s working and the rest (the empty area) is his “spare time” at home, with family/friends. Each person can adjust the clock to his/her own schedule manually and customise it based on his/her own lifestyle and needs.
