Terrazzo Collection by Alberto Bellamoli
Updated: Jan 14, 2020
Terrazzo is made from surplus materials from marble production, and is thus a historic example of sustainability. Industrial designer Alberto Bellamoli has returned to his birthplace near Verona, Italy in order to give, what the locals consider poor man’s marble, a boost.
Broken pieces of surplus marble cast into a mixture of marble dust, cement and pigment. Terrazzo is the story about a sustainable Italian product invented at a time when making u
se of all resources was a virtue. Industrial designer Alberto Bellamoli has reinvented the material. The collection features candleholders, as well as four bowls and two coffee tables
in different sizes.
