Chess Stools by Giorgio Bonaguro for Icons
Updated: Jan 16, 2020

This family of stools designed to give a playful interpretation to this kind of furniture.
Starting from Alfiere (the “Bishop” in italian) which is a stool in solid wood: it features a geometric form, interrupted by a large diagonal cut which acts as a magazine rack; next to it is "moving" Regina (the “Queen”), with a more "aristocratic" and imposing shape, and Pedone (the “Pawn”), a rounded and simple stool.

These products have been designed taking inspiration from a set of chess, as the name suggests; they want to emphasize the shapes and characteristics of the chess pieces (especially the heads).
The stools are produced by Icons in solid scented cedar wood with semi-artisanal techniques and processes, enhancing the value and finishes.
