Okapi by PerezOchando for Missana
Updated: Jan 21, 2020

From the lush forests of Africa a wild and trendy armchair arrives to Missana, Okapi, a very original and functional piece designed by Claudia Pérez and Pedro Ochando, which is also the latest addition to “The Novelties” collection. In the same way as the animal it borrows its name from, the Okapi armchair, which its front side reminds us of a giraffe and its back of a zebra, reveals a striking contrast between its front side with rounded beech wooden legs and its back side with its metal lacquered legs in the shape of a clip.

That extreme contrast is what brings Okapi to live and provides it with a very strong personality. According to its designers, Okapi is the perfect armchair for lobbies & meeting rooms.
The schematic lines that give form to Okapi have helped to create a very ergonomic and versatile armchair that results in an elegant, edgy and comfortable product. In Missana they have reinforced the exceptional design by PerezOchando with an extreme upholstery selection with texture & color duality that emphasizes the contrast in which the designers based their inspiration. They have used Razzle-Dazzle-Ranger and Twill-Rouge fabrics for its launching.
