Designed by Jumphol Socharoentham and Pakawat Vijaykadga, furniture design students of KMITL, Alato is a wooden color-gradient cabinet created from their interest in craftsmanship works and the need to use the invention of the woodwork to be the point of this project. In creating this cabinet they took their inspiration from feathers for their even form, layers, shading and the colors and applied similar concepts in their design.
Alato is made from solid ash, ash veneer, MDF board and metal with spray paint and powder coat finish.
