Dimma Chair and Stool by Alexander Lervik
Updated: Jan 28, 2020

The design of Dimma chair was inspired by the iconic Thonet bistro chairs. The idea was to design a contemporary variant of the café/bistro bentwood and perforated-seat chair. Drawing on the raster design, the result was a unique seat and backrest where the seating surface appears to float above the frame.
On the other hand, Dimma stool's design was inspired by bar stools in British pubs. The chunky seat is typically upholstered, which is lightened up in this case, and the raster was used to create a transparent feel for the entire stool.
Both the stool and the chair are made from powder-coated steel and manufactured by Tingset.
