Organic Factory by Ruben Thier
Updated: Jan 28, 2020
In a factory, overproduction is common. In between shifts, plastic is dripping on the floor. Instead of this, Ruben Thier created containers under every extruder. This way, the plastic is collected as an overproduction archive and recycled and molded to be part of a new furniture collection. Thier sneaks in between shifts creating these durable seats, benches and tables using the factory’s precise extruders.
The collection is growing, because production never stand still. The furniture of this collection come with a serial number containing date, factory and machine.
Now it becomes something, instead of being waste.
