Stacking Vessels by Utopia and Utility

Updated: Jan 28, 2020

Utopia & Utility, a name that describes their scope of work, was founded by siblings Pia and Moritz Wustenberg, a biochemical engineer and a designer, with the goal to work together with their team and craftsmen to grow a business with integrity and good intentions, wishing to highlight the beauty of craft and the value in tacit skills by making sculptural pieces of furniture that bring a fantastic and hedonistic touch to reality.

Their handmade Stacking Vessels are a series of vases made from glass, wood and pottery. They are available in several shapes, colors and sizes. Each vase is made up of components that are assembled together based on the desire of the users. The Transformed Stacking Vessels change shape depending on the perspective you look at them; they are symmetrical from front and asymmetrical on the sides. Other vessels are made up of two separate containers that combine blown glass and turned, natural edge wood or made from spun copper or brass as the base.
