Dice Multi-Purpose Furniture by Torafu Architects
Updated: Jan 30, 2020

Designed by Torafu Architects, Dice is a multi-purpose piece of furniture that can be used in three different ways depending on which side it is rested on.
This genius hybrid could be used by both adults and children. When used by children, it could be turned to the side where it has a desk and a built-in chair that together form anintimate, small room for them to sit on and enjoy painting or playing.
As suggested by the name, Dice, rolls over to be used as two other furniture for adults. When on the side with the wide fan-shaped surface, it becomes a stool while the other side is a shelf to hold plenty of books and magazines.
Having the parameters of a cube, Dice is built from interlocking plywood panels with round edges, covered by different colors of protective rubber accents,to encourage the idea of playfulness yet keeping it safe for both kids and the floors to be scratch free especially while rolling.
According to the designers, “Dice possesses both easily adaptable functionality and a cute appearance fostering a feeling of gentleness.”
